St Paul’s Gate: A New Chapter for Social Housing

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the refurbishment and overcladding of St Paul’s Gate, providing 17 improved social housing flats for Jersey Homes Trust in the heart of St Helier.

The project has transformed the existing 1990s rendered block with a vibrant new façade incorporating contrasting brick slip palettes, zinc roof and wall cladding, and larger full-height windows that maximise natural daylight.

The comprehensive overcladding has significantly improved the building’s thermal performance, comfort and long-term resilience, while new bolt-on balconies provide valuable private amenity space for residents.

The project demonstrates how thoughtful refurbishment can breathe new life into existing housing, creating safe, energy-efficient and comfortable homes that exceed current rental standards while supporting the wellbeing of tenants and extending the useful life of the building.

We are proud to have worked with Jersey Homes Trust and the wider project team to deliver this transformation and contribute to the continued improvement of Jersey’s social housing.
