The successful completion of the refurbishment of nine social housing units for Jersey Homes Trust delivers significant improvements to both thermal performance and fire safety.
The works focused on enhancing the building envelope through the installation of External Wall Insulation (EWI) with a painted render finish, alongside non-combustible fibre-cement rainscreen panels to provide a durable and compliant façade solution.
As part of the upgrade, new double-glazed windows and replacement balcony balustrading have been introduced, improving energy efficiency, comfort for residents, and the overall appearance of the building. The interventions carefully balance modern performance requirements with a sympathetic response to the surrounding context, refreshing the character of the existing block while respecting its setting.
The completed project provides warmer, safer and more sustainable homes, extending the life of the building and supporting the long-term housing provision of Jersey Homes Trust.
