New four-bedroom home with basement, pool, pergola, and landscaped surroundings.

Demolition of the existing residence and construction of a new four-bedroom dwelling, featuring a basement plant and storage area. The project includes a range of external alterations, as well as a new swimming pool and pergola to the south of the site, complete with associated decking and landscaped surrounds.

The design reinterprets a traditional home with low zinc-pitched roofs and living spaces tucked beneath large, projecting eaves. The shallow roof pitch helps the building sit naturally within the site, reducing its visual mass.

A significant north-south slope creates a full-storey difference between the front of the house and the principal garden level. To address this, a south-facing glazed gable and expansive external terraces bring the garden into the heart of the main living areas, connecting the interior seamlessly to the landscape.

Rusticated feature steps, thoughtfully shaped to form seating, lead down to a grand staircase overlooking the main pool terrace.
