
RICARDO MARQUES
Architect, Associate
Ricardo Marques is a locally born RIBA Chartered Architect with over 19 years of experience delivering high-quality architectural projects in Jersey.
A graduate of the Portsmouth University School of Architecture, Ricardo achieved a First Class Honours Degree (BA Hons) in Architecture in 2007 and was nominated for the prestigious RIBA President’s Medal in the same year. Following graduation, he gained valuable professional experience at Naish Waddington Architects, where he worked for two years after completing Part I of his architectural training.
In 2009, Ricardo was invited to serve as a judge for the Jersey Architecture Design Awards during Architecture Week, recognising his emerging contribution to the local architectural profession.
Ricardo continued his studies at Portsmouth University, graduating with Distinction in his Diploma in Architecture (DipArch) in 2011. He completed his professional qualifications in 2014, successfully attaining his Professional Practice in Architecture qualification and becoming a RIBA Chartered Architect.
Since joining Morris Architects in 2016, Ricardo has played a key role in the successful design and delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects. His experience spans luxury private residences, apartment developments, commercial and civic buildings, as well as large-scale social housing schemes. Ricardo is known for his thoughtful design approach, technical expertise, and commitment to creating places that are both functional and enduring.
With a strong understanding of local planning, construction, and design challenges, Ricardo continues to lead projects from concept through to completion, helping clients realise ambitious and sustainable architectural solutions.
