Pomme d'Or Hotel

Pomme D’Or Hotel facade transformation: Historic balcony inspires new design concept.

Pomme d'Or Hotel

The Seymours wished to improve the façade of the existing hotel to give it an uplift in quality and appearance to reflect the improved environment of Liberation Square.

The balcony, due to its historic importance, was the trigger for the design concept and philosophy and became the public balcony, triumphal arch and main hotel entrance.

The façade was designed to open up and frame the gateway entrance, incorporating the balcony, providing symmetry and a focal point for the arrival to the building.

The project involved the re-cladding of all elements with stone base together with the interior refurbishment of the entrance hall, toilets, café and kitchens.
