Jersey Hospital Bartlett Ward
Project Brief: The refurbishment of the existing Bartlett Ward Isolation facility whilst it was kept fully operational, 24 hours a day. The ward is used for housing patients at high risk of infection or infected patients requiring isolation. The project was split into phases which included the refurbishment of the rooms and bathrooms to provide more accessible facilities and an upgrade of the heating and ventilations services. A new external roof deck was provided for a new external AHU and filtered exhaust flues, careful co-ordination was required with planning for forming new openings and penetrations through the 1860 Granite Building envelope which was a Grade 1 listed building. A full service was provided from the development of the brief, design and contract administration on site.
