Morris Architects and Jersey Homes Trust to Deliver a Refurbished Warren Court

Works are well underway for a comprehensive refurbishment of Warren Court, part of the historic La Folie Estate, for the Jersey Homes Trust. The project focuses on extending the building’s lifespan, improving energy performance, and enhancing safety while retaining the existing structure.

Works include a full thermal upgrade of the external façade, installation of thermally broken double-glazed windows, strengthening and refinishing of balconies with contemporary glazed balustrades, and an over-cladding strategy designed to create a more durable, energy-efficient envelope using non-combustible materials.

Internally, the scheme introduces targeted fire-safety enhancements such as new fire doors, automated opening vents within escape staircases, and the relocation of post boxes to maintain clear evacuation routes. Additional insulation is also being added to the existing pitched slate roof to further improve performance.

Although site constraints restrict opportunities for lift installation or larger units, the ongoing refurbishment aims to maximise resilience, safety, and comfort. Once complete, the project will deliver a safer, low-maintenance, and energy-efficient residential building in support of the Jersey Homes Trust’s mission to provide durable, sustainable homes for island residents.
